Set submissions begin today! Please have ONLY 1 POST WITH ALL YOUR CARDS. EDIT IT IF YOU'RE POSTING MORE. MULTIPLE POSTS WITH CARDS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED!!!

Set name is currently ROPE since we haven't formally decided the name, so just put it in there for now. And please do your best with YVD format and check OCG.

Light discussion on cards other people submit is allowed - just don't let it take over this topic.

15 generic cards initially. I will check after the end of the day and give you a number of how many more cards we can submit each.

Also, by the end of this set, I will edit the file with resolved buffs / nerfs / erratas for previous cards. Might be a good time to get those in at this time Wink

2 cards i have a problem with:

Surprise Icarus Summoning - makes for an instant Synchro / Xyz

Pull n' Pray - +0 that always has beneficial effects. Would be run in 3's in every deck.


But i like your guys' cards, very creative Smile

@ Tungsten Butterfly - Marleliel can be splashed in literally any deck that wants a 37 card deck. Something should be done about the first effect that prevents it from being used in that way. And I said it for Surprise Icarus Summoning so I'll say for Radiant Reinforcement, it's too much search power - the cost should be increased or restrictions put in place.

I had a question concerning deckthinning. I don't get why it's as bad or problematic as it appears to be.

For one, using Toon Table of Contents as an example, instead of running 3 of any card that could be useful, somebody would instead stuff 3 Toon Table of Contents in their deck to modify the miniscule advantage percentage they would have to draw better cards. I could see how it's problematic in that sense since it's instant access to 3 Spell cards that could stack for Spell Reactive Effects or effects that count how many spells are activated. Do we have cards her that count the amount of self-made discards and such that would cause deckthinning to be a problem?

I don't really find that "40 Card Deck - 5 Cards for hand - 3 cards from the deck = 1.25% chance of drawing into cards you need", and believe it's situational over-analysis of the metagame strategy.

Since the main reason people shuffle their decks and draw cards is so that an element of luck and game difference is maintained, I can kind of get why deckthinning would be frowned upon, but only a little.

When I think of that Winged Cyborg and the Angel Paladin, I wonder, what is there to gain out of stuffing 3 of these into the deck solely to thin your deck and draw into what you need? Are they really going to use those cards ever?

I don't think deckthinning is dangerous here because of the lack of Exodia, rampant OTKs/FTKs, and Tier 0 Tele-DAD style builds that exist. Sending a ton of cards from your deck to your Graveyard so you can get to the Dark Armed Dragon faster and rape the shit out of your opponent is less worry here because from what I know, decks don't normally have Dark Armed Dragon-like cards or any such cards that can lead to the duel ending in 2-3 turns flat.

While deckthinning does put you at an advantage luck-wise, that advantage is absolutely miniscule, and the act of putting cards in your deck just so they can take up space and reduce the count of how many cards you have in your deck, because it doesn't guarantee a 100% chance, and the "lucksack topdecking" people want to avoid will always happen as long as Yugioh continues to draw cards from a shuffled deck. Modifying that chance to me doesn't seem to be a major priority.

I think I was overreacting for that Winged Cyborg card, which acts similar to Toon Table of Contents. There is a possibility to draw 2 and lose advantage / dead draw.

However I feel I have a good case for Marleliel, and effects like it. Marleliel is never a dead draw, it can always replace itself. It's not that deckthinning is so dangerous here, like you said - we don't have decks like exodia.

My concern is this: virtually every deck would love to slim down. Miniscule as the % advantage may be, there is absolutely no reason NOT to run 3 of this card in all your builds, since it doesn't even count as a card at all, it only replaces itself for something else. I don't believe this is healthy deckbuilding to conform to running certain cards. I am not talking about staples since those are a matter of choice - this card however, must be run in every deck @3 if people are honest with themselves about improving their deck.

So, I'm agreeing with you that this is not a direct threat to balance in any way, but I believe it is a path to deckbuilding conformity.

Well I added the effect because I didn't want it to be a dead draw, and have a way of getting out of having all 3 in the hand on the opening draw, or getting rid of it when I don't need it for something else.

and for Radiant Reinforcement, 1400 Life Points instead?
