Tailed Monsters - A Reptile Archetype Empty Tailed Monsters - A Reptile Archetype

Monsters:

|1-Tailed Gecko|0|????|Reptile/Effect/Tuner|Earth|2||500|500|When this card is Summoned or is flipped face-up, put 1 Tail Counter on this card(max. 1). If a Tail Counter is removed from this card Special Summon 1 "Tail Token"(Reptile/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, it cannot attack or change its battle position. If this card would be destroyed by battle while it has a Tail Counter on it, remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card instead. During your Main Phase, you can remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card to increase or decrease this card's Level by 1 until the End Phase.|

|1-Tailed Newt|0|????|Reptile/Effect/Tuner|Water|2||500|500|When this card is Summoned or is flipped face-up, put 1 Tail Counter on this card(max. 1). If a Tail Counter is removed from this card Special Summon 1 "Tail Token"(Reptile/WATER/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, it cannot attack or change its battle position. If this card would be destroyed by battle while it has a Tail Counter on it, remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card instead. During your Main Phase, you can remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card to have 1 monster your opponent controls lose 300 ATK until the End Phase.|

When this card is Summoned or is flipped face-up, put 1 Tail Counter on this card(max. 1). If a Tail Counter is removed from this card Special Summon 1 "Tail Token"(Reptile/WIND/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, it cannot attack or change its battle position. If this card would be destroyed by battle while it has a Tail Counter on it, remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card instead.|

|1-Tailed Iguana|0|????|Reptile/Effect|Earth|4||1500|1200|When this card is Summoned or is flipped face-up, put 1 Tail Counter on this card(max. 1). If a Tail Counter is removed from this card Special Summon 1 "Tail Token"(Reptile/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, it cannot attack or change its battle position. If this card would be destroyed by battle while it has a Tail Counter on it, remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card instead. This card gains 400 ATK if it has a Tail Counter on it.|

If a Tail Counter is removed from this card Special Summon 1 "Tail Token"(Reptile/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, it cannot attack or change its battle position. If this card would be destroyed by battle while it has a Tail Counter on it, remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card instead. If this card has a Tail Counter on it, it can attack twice during the same Battle Phase.|

When this card is Summoned or is flipped face-up, put 1 Tail Counter on this card(max. 1). If a Tail Counter is removed from this card Special Summon 1 "Tail Token"(Reptile/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, it cannot attack or change its battle position. If this card would be destroyed by battle while it has a Tail Counter on it, remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card instead. Once per turn and only if this card has a Tail Counter on it, you can negate the activation and effect of a Spell or Trap Card that targets this card. Once per turn and only if this card has a Tail Counter on it, if this card is targeted for attack you can negate that attack.|

|1-Tailed Three-Horned Chameleon|0|????|Reptile/Effect|Earth|5||2200|800|This monster can only be Tribute Summoned by Tributing a "Tail Token". When this card is Summoned or is flipped face-up, put 1 Tail Counter on this card(max. 1). If a Tail Counter is removed from this card Special Summon 1 "Tail Token"(Reptile/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, it cannot attack or change its battle position. If this card would be destroyed by battle while it has a Tail Counter on it, remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card instead. Once per turn and only if this card has a Tail Counter on it, you can negate the activation and effect of a Spell or Trap Card that targets this card. If this card has a Tail Counter on it, it inflicts Piercing damage.|

|1-Tailed Salamander|0|????|Reptile/Effect|Water|6||2100|1100|This monster can only be Tribute Summoned by Tributing a "Tail Token". When this card is Summoned or is flipped face-up, put 1 Tail Counter on this card(max. 1). If a Tail Counter is removed from this card Special Summon 1 "Tail Token"(Reptile/WATER/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, it cannot attack or change its battle position. If this card would be destroyed by battle while it has a Tail Counter on it, remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card instead. During your opponent's Standby Phase, if this card does not have a Tail Counter on it, put 1 Tail Counter on it. You can remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card to Special Summon 1 Level 3 or lower "Tailed" monster from your Graveyard.|

|1-Tailed Komodo Dragon|0|????|Reptile/Effect|Earth|8||2500|1800|This monster can only be Tribute Summoned by Tributing at least 1 "Tail Token". When this card is Summoned or is flipped face-up, put 1 Tail Counter on this card(max. 1). If a Tail Counter is removed from this card Special Summon 1 "Tail Token"(Reptile/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 0) in Defense Position, it cannot attack or change its battle position. If this card would be destroyed by battle while it has a Tail Counter on it, remove 1 Tail Counter that is on this card instead. A monster that battles with this card loses 500 ATK after the Damage Step. If this card has a Tail Counter on it and attacks an opponent's monster, this card gains 400 ATK during the Damage Step only.|

Next will be some synchros, and maybe some spells/traps as well.

Nice concept. Most of them are pretty balanced but useful - 1 problem though is with the Gecko - Since it's a tuner and you can just instantly Summon a token by its effect on your first turn it becomes an instant Lv3 synchro - Now we don't have any yet but if we do it probably should be changed.

How would an instant level 3 synchro be bad? I thought it was instant 6s, 7s and throughout that were bad since they were supposed to get the better effects, as opposed to the lower level synchs.

If the Lv3 synchros in the future are made weak enough, then i guess it would be fine. Making the choice of nerfing either the synchros or just preventing instant synchros is more of personal preference.

Well generally everything above level 8 is harder to make since, if it takes 2 monsters, you would need a higher level monster, or you would have to use more than 2.

Level 8 and under can be made with any two Level 1, 2, 3 or 4 monsters, corresponding to the level.
