Proposed fix on Diamant
Had enough of this card already...
"You can remove 1 card from your hand to Special Summon this card from your hand. Then you can add 1 "Escroc" monster from your deck to your hand except "Escroc Diamant". During your End phase return the removed card to the bottom of your deck.

Re: Proposed fix on Diamant
My proposed fix would be:
"You can remove 1 card in your hand from play to Special Summon this card. Then add 1 "Escroc" monster from your Deck to your hand. During the End Phase, if this card is in your Graveyard, send 2 "Escroc" monsters to the Graveyard. If you cannot, remove this card and all copies of it in your hand or Deck from play."
This forces you to play quickly as you won't be able to survive 9 or so turns with Diamant in the Graveyard. This puts a heavy cost on it, balancing Diamant. It also limits it's splashability.

Re: Proposed fix on Diamant
Execpt it will -never- be in your graveyard. Since you can Special Summon it from anywhere, as many times as you want, you can just leave it on your field in defense- since its effect only activates during your end phase, you can revive it.

Let's add another clause - "This card cannot be Special Summoned from the Graveyard." Happy now?

Re: Proposed fix on Diamant
1 Problem, I know how much you use Refueling so you have like 3 copies of the thing... then you can simply return it and other Escrocs you've dumped in the process.
Re: Proposed fix on Diamant
Let me explain:
In my recent duel with WereLord, I had to wait about 6 turns before I even did anything - I hadn't drawn anything useful for stall other than 1x Attack Barrier. So I took a beating until I decided I couldn't be bothered to wait for Refueling, I'd just summon 1 Synchro at a time and hope WereLord wouldn't stop me. I went through my deck to search for Diamant and all 3 copies of Refueling were in the bottom 5 of the deck. So I shuffled it, as you should do after searching your deck, and 2 turns later I got Refueling. I used the famed Diamant + Peintre combo, then activated Refueling and did it again. I had WereLord The Hunter and 3 Escroc Synchros out. I then summoned Gantelet and RFP'd it so all my Escrocs got an extra 1000 ATK boost. Combined with the 4 Escrocs in the Graveyard (a couple of Remplacement and 2x Propulseur) my Escrocs all had 5100 ATK each. WereLord and a Magnifique had already attacked that turn, so I went for game with the other two.
This proves that Escroc OTK is ridiculously powerful but relies quite a lot on luck - you need to draw Refueling to get out more than one Synchro in a turn. Escroc OTK is also a very difficult deck to play following Peintre's limiting and such - you need to be a good player to play it, it doesn't work on it's own.
