Hello, I am new here, but I want to post several card ideas. I hope i got this right..

Sovereigns

This archetype play style is based on basic Real-Time Strategy games (but here, it's turn based instead). We have the workers, the units, the advanced units, the buildings, and the hero, of course. Now, let's explain the card

The Main Units

| Sovereign Worker Drone “Palladium”| | |Machine/ Tuner/Effect|Light|4||0|2000|Once per turn, you can activate 1 of the following effects: *Remove 2 Resource Counters from your field. Banish 1 “Sovereign” Continuous Spell Card from your deck. Activate the banished card during the start of your next Standby Phase. *Add 2 Resource Counters a Continuous Spell Card you control.| Your standard RTS worker. Since the continuous spell is the building (or in this case, the main ships), it can build them. It can also gather resources! (Palladium is a statue from the sky from the City-state of Troy)

| Sovereign Salvage Ship “Aegis”| | |Machine/Tuner/Effect|Light|2||0|1200| Twice per turn, if this card was Special Summoned, you can remove 2 Resource Counters from your side of the field to add 1 Machine-type “Sovereign” monster from your graveyard to your hand.| It collects scrap metals and recycle it. (it's the name of Zeus and Athena's Shield)

| Sovereign Transport Ship “Dyrnwyn”| | |Machine/Effect|Light|4||0|2200| If this card was Normal or Flip Summoned, you can add 1 level 4 or lower “Sovereign” monster from your deck to your hand.| Transport your units to the battlefield. (one of the 13 treasures of the island of britain. it's a sword.)

|Sovereign Tank “Mistletainn”| | |Machine/Effect|Light|4||1700|1500| Once per turn, you can remove 3 Resource Counters from the field to destroy a level 4 or lower monster on the field.|The main attacking unit. it can easily destroy weaker opponents. (The magical sword of Prainn from Norse mythology.)

| Sovereign Shock Trooper “Nagelring”| | |Warrior/Effect|Light|4||1700|1000| If this card destroys an opponent’s monster by battle, add 2 Resource Counters to a Continuous Spell Card you control.| These guys sure loves to taking parts of their opponents home. (A sword from Germanic mythology.)

|Sovereign Mission Control, Macha|| |Warrior/Effect|Light|1||0|0| You can only activate the effect of “Sovereign Operator Lady Bast” once per duel. During your main Phase 1, you can banish this card from your hand. If you do, as long as this card is banished, all effects that remove Resource Counters on the field have its cost reduced by 1.| She's somewhat unreliable, but very useful for the army to manage their resource usage. (A Celtic goddesses that's associated with sovereignty, war, and horses.)

|Sovereign PSY-Unit, Harmonia| | | Psychic/Tuner/Effect|Light|2||600|800| Once per turn, you can remove 3 Resource Counters on the field to add a banished “Sovereign” card to your hand.| She's a good psychic, but cursed with bad luck since in this army, her ability may disrupts the unit production. maybe she can save people that has been sucked into another dimension? (daughter of Ares and Aphrodite, why I keep the effect is because to reference her myth in meta-level. )

| Sovereign Support Manager, Theseus| | | Warrior/Effect|Light|4||1500|1500| All “Sovereign” card effects that would add or Summon a card during your next Standby Phase will instantly add or Summon the card instead. | A master in forcing his underling to fasten the production. took a pity in Harmonia for her misfortune. (A king in Greek mythology)

The War Hero

| Sovereign Supreme Commander, Alexander| | | Warrior/Effect|Light|8||3000|2500| Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Can be Special Summoned from your hand by removing 12 Resource Counters on the field. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all other “Sovereign” cards you control is not affected by your opponent Spell and Trap Cards.| The legendary Galaxy Conqueror, his presence made his army ignore whatever the enemy throws at them. (Alexander the Great, enough said.)

| Sovereign Mothership “Parvati”| | | Spell Card|Spell|Field|||| This card is always treated as a Continuous Spell Card except for placing location and the effect of normal Spell Cards. This card can only leave the field if you control no other cards on the field. Every time a monster is Special Summoned, add one Resource Counter to this card. If a card you control has any number of Resource Counter(s) and left the field, you can place all the counters to this card. All counters on this card cannot be removed by your opponent.| The Mothership of the sovereigns. it's not a Death Star, or an alien mothership-like structure. even if it's huge, (Consort of Shiva in Hinduism)

|Sovereign Military Ship Base “Pallas”| | | Spell Card|Spell|Continuous||| | Once per turn, if you have more than 8 Resource Counters, you can search the top cards of your deck until you find 3 Level 6 or lower “Sovereign” monsters. Choose one, remove Resource Counters from the field equal to the monster’s Level, and banish it. Return the rest of the cards to the deck. On your next standby phase, Special Summon the banished card. | The unit producer. sadly, an invisible rule is keeping it from mass producing things. (Titan of Warfare, later killed by Athena.)

| Sovereign Reparation Ship “Menrva”| | | Spell Card|Spell|Continuous||| | Once per turn, if you have more than 6 Resource Counters, you can banish one “Sovereign” Monster from your graveyard. On your next standby phase, you can remove 3 Resource Counters from the field to add the banished card to your hand.| The mother of all "Aegis". it is slower than them, though. (an Etruscan goddess of war, art, wisdom and health. technically, she is Minerva from the romans, which in turn, is based on Athena of the Greeks.)

| Sovereign Asteroid-gathering Ship “Anahit”| | | Spell Card|Spell|Continuous||| |During each of your standby phase, add 2 Resource Counters to one Continuous Spell Card you control.| these ships is the dedicated resource gatherer. They used to be a war ship, until they took a Wave-motion Cannon to their weapon docks. (Anahit is an Armenian goddess of fertility, birth, beauty and water; in early periods is associated with war)

| Sovereign Research: Defensive Barrier| | | Spell Card| Spell| ||| | Reveal this card in your hand to your opponent. Then, remove 4 Resource Counters from the field and banish this card. As long as this card is banished by this effect, all “Sovereign” Continuous Spell on the field gains the following effects based on the amount of copies of this card that has been banished by this effect:* This card gains 1[2][3] Damage Counter(s). Every time this card would be destroyed, this card can remove its own Damage Counter(s) instead. Your opponent can choose to attack this card if there’s no card in front of this card. This card is treated as having 0 ATK and 0 DEF but you won’t take any battle damage.| upgrade all main ships from sitting ducks to metallic sitting ducks!

| Sovereign Research: Assault Mode| | | Spell Card| Spell| ||| | Reveal this card in your hand to your opponent. Then, remove 8 Resource Counters from the field and banish this card. As long as this card is banished by this effect, all “Sovereign” Continuous Spell on the field gains the following effects based on the amount of copies of this card that has been banished by this effect: *This card can be treated as a monster (*4 Light machine 1800[2300][2800]/2000) if you control no actual monsters. This card cannot be used as a Synchro, Tribute, Xyz, or Fusion Material. Your opponent can choose to attack directly if this effect is active.| upgrade all main ships from ducks to warships!

| Sovereign Research: Improved Firepower| | | Spell Card| Spell| ||| | Reveal this card in your hand to your opponent. Then, remove 8 Resource Counters on the field and banish this card. As long as this card is banished by this effect, all “Sovereign” monsters on the field gains the following effects based on the amount of copies of this card that has been banished by its effect: *This card gains 400[700][1000] ATK. This card can attack a Spell/trap card that has no card in front of it. The Spell/traps is treated as having 0 ATK and DEF but your opponent won’t take any battle damage during the battle involving it.| gives all unit extra dakka!

| Sovereign Research: Sovereign Mothership “Parvati”/Assault Mode, "Kali"| | | Spell Card| Spell| ||| | Reveal this card in your hand to your opponent. Then, remove 8 Resource Counters on the field and banish this card. As long as this card is banished by this effect, “Sovereign Mothership Headquarter “Kali-Durga”” gains the following effects based on the amount of copies of this card that has been banished by this effect: *During your standby phase, if you control no actual monster, remove 10 Resource Counters from the field. This card is now treated as a monster card (*8 LIGHT Machine 2500[3200][4000]/2000) until you summoned another monster.| research completed. Sovereign Mothership “Kali” has awakened. (Kali is a goddess of time, change, and War in Hinduism. consort of Shiva, and sometimes believed to be associated to Parvati.)

|Sovereign Tool:Arcane Jammer| | | Spell Card| Spell| Quick-Play||||You can reveal this card when your opponent activated a Spell or Trap card. Banish this card, remove 4 Resource Counters on the field, then negate the effect of the Spell/trap card and destroy it.| We don't fear magic!

|Sovereign Tactic: Overtask| | | Spell Card| Spell||||| You can reveal this card, remove 4 Resource Counters on the field and banish this card. If you do, you can activate one of these effects:*This turn, all card effects that activates during your next standby phase can be activated immediately.*Destroy 1 face-up card on the field.| Commander Theseus's tactic. it's even applicable to the enemy! they exploded, though..

Extra Deck

| Sovereign Heavy Support Drone “Vitthakalai”| | | Machine/Fusion/Effect|Light|8||1500|3000| [“Sovereign Worker Drone ‘Palladium’” + 1 Machine-Type “Sovereign” monster.] This card is fusion Summoned from the extra deck by returning the above cards to the deck. Once per turn, you can remove 2 Resource Counters to add 1 “Sovereign” Continuous Spell Card from your deck to your hand. During your Standby Phase, add 2 Resource Counters to 1 Continuous Spell Card you control.|

| Sovereign Carrier Ship “Horus”| | | Machine/Synchro/Effect|Light|6||2400|1500| [1 “Sovereign” Tuner + 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters.] During your Standby Phase, add 1 Resource Counter to 1 card on the field. Once per turn, you can remove 4 Resource Counters on the field to banish 1 "Sovereign" monster from your deck. Special Summon it during your next Standby Phase.| (Egyptian god of the king, the sky, war and protection)

| Sovereign Support-class Battleship “Vishnu”| | | Machine/Synchro/Effect|Light|10||2500|3500| [3 “Sovereign” Tuners + 1 or more non-Tuner Monsters.] When you Synchro Summoned this card, you can add up to 5 cards that have been banished to your hand by removing 3 Resource Counters for each. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, all card effects that activates during your next standby phase can be activated immediately.| (One of the Trimurti in Hinduism. Is the Preserver.)

|Sovereign Class-0 Battleship, Infinite Galaxy Overlord “TRINITY”| | | Machine/Synchro/Effect|Light|12||4500|3500| [2 “Sovereign” Synchro Tuner Monster + 1 or more “Sovereign” Monsters. ] When this card is Special Summoned, banish all other cards on the field, except Continuous Spell Cards. This card cannot attack the turn it was Special Summoned. Once per turn, you can remove 4 Resource Counters to either:*Destroy 1 card on the field.*Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower “Sovereign” Monster.| (technically, the name is a joke from a friend. but, since it's extremely cheesy, i used it. Anyways, the Trinity is referring to Trimurti of Hinduism, since the original design is an Xyz of the three battleships. the other two needs more tweaking, though.

|Sovereign Scout Ship “Vajra”| | | Machine/Synchro/Effect|Light|4||1500|1500| [2 “Sovereign” Tuners] If you successfully Synchro Summoned this card, draw 1 card. If this card is used as a Synchro Material, add 4 Resource Counters to 1 Continuous Spell Card you control.| used to be a racing robot, before being upgraded into a spaceship. lost speed in the process, however. (Indra's thunderbolt from Hinduism.)

Is that too many? Anyway, please give me suggestions about them, especially about the OCG and costs.

When you're online, if you would join the chatroom, other people may fill you in on what exactly goes on here.

It is a lot for me to review right now, so i'll just get to the monsters today:

OCG is good, but if I were a perfectionist i would say replace "use" with "activate" in the first sentence, first effect does not need "search", just "Banish 1 "Sovereign" Continuous Spell Card in your Deck". Shuffling afterwards is implied, clause not needed. "Activate" is always used in place of "Play".

Remove Resource Counters from what? "Your side of the field"? The effect seems good, not delving into the archetype too deeply.

Good searcher, risky, but we have cards that work with 0 ATK monsters here.

Good, solid monster.

Seems fine. I'll have to look at the other cards more thoroughly to see what all these Continuous SPell Cards are Wink

If you do, as long as this card is banished, all effects that remove Resource Counters on the field have its cost reduced by 1.|
The first effect is probably not needed, let's leave it up to the ban list to control it. Cool, creative effect.

From what i can gather most of these banishing effects play themselves during the next standby phase, or are meant to STAY banished, so i'm skeptical of its playability.

That seems superior to the above card. First clause is implied as a continuous effect and not needed.

Boss monster, baits your opponent's spells/traps. Good card. For OCG: The syntax for Nomis and Semi-Nomis has changed, would be something like "Cannot be Normal Summoned or Set. Can only be Special Summoned by removing 12 Resource Counters on the field, and cannot be Special Summoned by other means." BUT, it really doesn't matter, we know what you mean Razz

thank you for your fix, Seattleite. I'm going to fix them.

For Lakshmi/Harmonia, she's going to keep her effect. Mainly to recycle overtasks and jammer. but force-finishing something is better done by theseus.

for Bast/Macha, the idea is that she is a single-time upgrade doubles as a unit. but I changed the effect to somewhat mimic spore, since it's close to what I'm intending.

for the others, I'm editing it. once again, thanks and i'll visit the chat once i finished the edit.

EDIT 1: Finished editing the main post. added Sea's fixes, a few renaming to match the naming scheme better, fixed a MASSIVE problem in Horus's effect, and added description to give the basic idea about what they are supposed to do(well, mostly).
