Darkstrike Assault Set Release
This is where you guyz can discuss, and predict what decks the LCCG will see coming around and what you expect to see in the metagame after this new set.

Re: Darkstrike Assault Set Release
I predict if 0-Chill's cards go untampered, Aqueans will be all the rage.
Re: Darkstrike Assault Set Release
We will take a look at them. I feel that this set will have a major impact on the Aqueans.

Predictions
I reckon Escrocs will keep their position as one of the top decks - it was difficult designing support for them that made the OTK more consistent, but not game-breakingly consistent. Annuleur is the pin-up card, it's a Battle Fader-esque card that doubles as Synchro fodder at the cost of removing a Trap from your Graveyard. It provides some much needed stall if the OTK needs to set up again and fits into almost every deck in the CCG. Silence, Enfant Stupide! (Silence, Stupid Child!) is a nerfed archetype-specific Solemn Judgment. It only works when you control a face-up Escroc and serves to help the OTK carry out without any resistance. Only downside is that if you get field nuked, it's useless.
All in all, Escrocs should be able to OTK within the first 5 turns about 60% of the time and about 70% at some point in the duel. While none of the new support really increases Escroc's famed speed, thanks to Annuleur Escrocs have a better chance of recovering should the OTK be stopped.
Spirit Oppression could cause a lot of trouble for some meta decks. Although they aren't very fast and will have to rely on a couple of tutors and luck to secure a lockdown, once the lockdown is in place the only decks I can see that might recover are Mirrors, and that's only due to wide support.
Thanks to Big Shield Locker and Eccentric Electron, Anti-Meta might surprise. Locker shuts down many plays and with Innocence can threaten a field nuke if attacked. Electron and Annuleur could help stall out and kill off any troublesome boss monsters.
I don't know anything at all about Aqueans, but they sound pretty lethal.
My prediction of the Tier list:
Tier 1:
Escroc OTK
Mirrors
Supreme Synchro
Tier 1.5:
Anti-Meta
Aqueans
Tier 2:
Spirit Oppression
Shaman
Plague
Mirrors remain a prominent force as the longest running Tier 1 archetype, with Escrocs staying top thanks to stall support and Silence. Supremes jump up a tier with new support.
Anti-Meta can take down swarm decks like Mirrors, Aqueans and Escrocs with mediocre consitency and pose a threat. Aqueans jump up to a near top-level deck following extensive support.
Spirit Oppression lacks draw power or good searchers but will get almost a certain win following a lockdown. Shaman jump up a tad due to support. Plague suffers due to Blitzer's limiting and Tier 1 decks enjoying being milled.

Re: Darkstrike Assault Set Release
Your tier list Alfred is very interesting, but WereLord is still a viable and good OTK deck that should still be considered.
Also, while Mirrors are still good, they don't have Confusion Chamber which could hinder them in the long run.
My prediction of the Tier list:
Tier 1:
WereLord
Escroc OTK
Supreme Synchro
Tier 1.5:
Anti-Meta
Aqueans
Mirrors
Tier 2:
Spirit Oppression
Shaman
Plague
Another archetype that might catch people by surprise is Reversed and Dark Heroes, but I don't think they will be a top tier deck.

Re: Darkstrike Assault Set Release
Ritual decks could be good...I gave them some lulzy SSing power. I would say I created an OTK deck, if it weren't for the fact that you would need a crap load of monsters in hand/field to do all of the necisary swarming. Also, WereLords Last Resort+3xGame End Ritual=Win.

Re: Darkstrike Assault Set Release
I have to say Harmony Mechs will be Tier 1. They are currently untoppable.

Re: Darkstrike Assault Set Release
Will be? They're easily countered by Anti-Meta and probably Oppresion Spirits. And Supreme with their new support will wreck them, the support is just so fast. Also Levia OTK seems to be faster then O-TK
