Roaring Barrier of Returned Souls
Group: Trap Card
Type: Trap
Activate only when an opponent's monster declares an attack and you control no monster. For each Spirit Monster returned to your hand during the last turn’s End phase, you can negate attacks up to that amount. This card remain face-up until the end of the Battle Phase and pay 800 to Set this card face-down again instead of sending it to the Graveyard.

more chainable and doesn't restrict to battle Phase in order to activate it where at the time it most likely be destroyed before entering BP

I realize the first buff doesn't have any efficiency as the opponent still can get rid o it before the battle and even if you activate it, it still need ot be on the field to make it through the BP to use it or is it? i think i may need to get it clear in a way.

Continuous Trap
When a Spirit Monster is returned to your hand by it's own effect, this card gains a [Insert Counter Here]. When your opponent would declare an attack against you while you control no monsters, you can remove a [counter] from this card to negate the attack.

During the turn that this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard while you control no monsters: You can banish a Spirit monster from your hand until the End Phase to target an attacking monster; Negate that target's Attack.
