They also have weird ATK/DEF, like King of Yamimakai and Castle of Dark Illusions. Is that okay, since they are normal monsters too?

The ATK system was always something that bugged me. Now it's normal for monsters who want to be in between two atk ranges like say 1800 and 1900 to be 1950, but there's still the other 98 values that are unused. I like the first one a lot, but it's only usable in a normal deck so yeah.. Is there as much Normal support on here as there is in the TCG/OCG?

Defaulter Composite turns monsters it battles with into Normal Monsters without effects, Effect Emulation allows a face-up Normal Monster to gain the effects of a Grave'd Effect Monster, Lost Laboratory allows you to discard a high level Normal Monster to add a number of lower leveled Norms to your hand, Moss Giant is a Goblin Attack Forcesque fusion for 2 Normal Monsters, and Will of the Weak is Waboku for Level 3 and lower Norms.


So, not much at all.

Banelight Psion is very effective in making Beatsticks more pronounced, because it saps everything to 1500, so they are easy to run over by high powered level 3 + 4 Norms. games are not decided by Level 4 normals though, and the main meat comes from the easy-to-summon Level 6-8s to rain hell upon the opponents.

Also don't forget about Xyz/Synchros too, as they can be an awesome asset in Normal Monster decks.

Running plain Normals is always asking for trouble, but adding a few awesome Effect Monsters to help them ain't so bad either.


then comes the Spell/Trap Support, which Geminis might make too much use of, and with cards like Sasha, it may fall into the "Broken" status if you aren't careful.

And your Normals are fun to read and clever, unlike mine which are verbose and extremely mythic about their flavor text. either way, prepare for me to make my own Normal monster thread. Because I can.
