The controller of that target discard a number of card from their hand equal to the number of monsters that was used for to Summon it.|

I like Chain for the sole fact that it reminds of Fiendish Chain, except with the can't atk clause substituted with a atk reduction clause which could be good or bad, depending.
For the xyz's effect, if the monster didn't require any monsters to summon like a lvl 4 or lower, would the opponent not discard anything?

well it's only by 100 x the Level, it's not like cutting it in half or so.

yes any monster that doesn't use a monster to be summoned won't affect the controller's hand. so it's not recommended to use on such monsters that like that. This card would impact on monsters that use 2 or more tribes or Synchro/Xyz material. imo this balance the restriction on recommending such monster.

Oh I may have to point out that it won't work on ritual/fusion monster that are ss'd by spells since it's the spell cards that makes use of monsters. So this basically this is likely to be restricted to level 5+ tribute monsters, synchro and Xyz. Using a level 4 or less that used a monster to be SS'd is not likely.

well seemly he does look like one when i fought him in .Hack//G.U. but as well i just found out there a cardfight card name Lifeless King, Death Anchor. too :S.
