top-down view - looking at the duel field from a birds eye view. Like yvd or dp is now.
Horizon view- looking at the field slanted. The opponents field seems farther away. More like an irl duel.

top down would be easier to write for (programming wise), while horizon view would be more immersive. If the engine were using for the duels is flexible enough there could be an alternating camera that switches between the two.

Horizon views look nicer, but I think it would be a LOT easier to program over top view. If it doesn't seem too difficult then Horizon, but if it seems too difficult then over top would be fine.

Voted horizon view although I could live with top-down view if it's hard to make horizon view.

Both are nice, but I like the horizon view a lot more. I definitely understand that it could be very difficult to program though.

Honestly, I would put more effort into worrying about other things if a horizon view is much more time consuming, because that would improve other qualities of the game that I would say are more important.

You guys are right, horizon will be harder to program.

I'll work on top-down for now, with all the special effects and shit. If it's good enough we can do that thing DH suggested.
