to be fair, if you're doing this you're giving your opponent a max of 18 cards on their turn in addition to what they already have, while you are having to get to 6 on the end of your turn. this could give your opponent as much as 24 cards in hand with which they really ought to just beat you with, considering they did just go +18 in card advantage.

no rank 8 is enough to make that worthwhile, if you give your opponent that amount of cards they will beat you. no questions asked

I don't know how giving your opponent that many cards is going to benefit you, even if you draw half of your deck doing it.
