Hybrids?

As far as I am aware no one uses the Hybrid cards and no one fully understands their functionality. I don't remember whose idea they were originally, but since YVD is updating to incorporate Xyz we have no need for pseudo tags for cards. I think the future of these cards should be debated. Should we add support and modify to make them viable to play or should we eradicate them?

i'd hate to outright delete a bunch of cards

this would really suck

So far it's edit them, but let's get a few more replies first.

Can't we erase them and replace them with cards from users who aren't banned (aka us?) that way the set numbers don't have to be editted, and we don't have to have that gap of Hybrids wasting away from permanent disuse.

Just replace the crappy hybrid cards with cards that other people suggest. Like a HYRM (Hybrid Removal) mini-set?

i guess we could, but it seems kind of small to try and split so few cards between all of us

I like DH's idea, we can give 1 card to each person, and have like 2 left over (to be decided over rock-paper-scissors)

have you checked that sea? because I also posted Hybrid support. I would check but I'm not on my computer

and I third the notion

there are 10 cards that relate to Hybrid monsters and are from ROPE set

so we can go ahead in replacing them while keeping the set number intact. so for doing this dividing the amount would depend if there 5 or 10 ppl for even distribution.

so there ash, Sea, Dyl, Soup, TB, DH, Werelord, and me so far, not sure if i'm forgetting anyone

maybe so the cards aren't complete wastes, we re-write them with same names and similar purpose but not hybrids?

I'm of the opinion they are complete wastes, especially considering their creator even stated he didn't know what he was doing.

i dont see the point in having one card each though. it's so small that it's hardly worth it

I've never really seen them but thought I'd post this anyway. Perhaps instead of erasing them or replacing them, we have somebody adopt them and give them new effects that aren't bad?

wile the amount is too small, then remodifying their effects may be the effective way.

well while we're working something out, if people want to modify them (either into regular ygo cards or just change how hybrids work) then you can all use this thread to post your changes. maybe after that we can decide a little easier and have the cards ready to boot
