Next Set Theme

iirc, we touched on this again in planning ctrn, the idea of implementing themes to structure a set around as opposed to generic some archetypes and then people support whatever decktypes or create new ones and you just end with a set with everyone doing their own thing.

well this here is to discuss 1. whether people want to set up a theme for the next set and 2. if they do decide to implement a theme, what they want to base it around (name, premise etc)

I really like the idea of discussing this early, it creates limitless possibilities. I believe what we first should do is examine the current card pool (after CTRN is released) and decide where each deck type is balanced. This may be a difficult task but that would play a major role in how we approach this. I feel like it would be cool to atleast try an MTG style set next time around. Maybe with a vampire or werewolf theme.

Machines needs more love.

I think we need to be less type specific and more story / theme. Because if we say "machine" then we'd have an over balance. But the good thing about starting early is that we can do a lot of balancing.

at least make it have an actual support and theme for machines.

though, how about science fiction as the theme?

Theme: we have the city of Machinto, a futuristic sci fi city, who is split into a civil war.
