Alchemics are meant to balance those 4 cardinal elements earth wind fire and water, also to make cards like Fan the Flames and Water Spout more useful.

@ WereLord - the combos are cheap?

Aether the Quintessential Element makes an Alchemic a pain in the neck to beat [even for WereLords all but one thats released is earth so no targeting them for Call or Rage.]

For aether we could easily put "Earth monsters you control cannot be targeted". It would still serve the purpose

In all truth though He's a dubble edged sword because his effects work for everything he can be helping your opponet more than hindering them or even helping you out.

Alchemics are my favorite archetype. Aether is awesome. Phoenix and him equal a direct attacking, attack gaining monstrosity.

Also

There's one way to abuse Aether.
Summon Rainbow Eel.

Lol yeah. Fixing as in they're OP'd or UP'd ? And i think the real problem is with Last Resort because you would still get 4800 Damage in one turn.
