Mechanical Fantasy can summon Mechanical Fantasy, right?

Because that could be an awesome Level 4 Xyz trick.

yup, but note that her second effect does not give you an extra normal summon, only the first one.

Phantamagoric Snow of the Natural Fantasy is a bit much don't u think? So what If u can't play set cards if your opponent cannot Atk or use main phase 2 for the whole game. The card could potentially setup a very long and unavoidable lockdown.

Eight-Million Fantastic Spirits might clash and make these spirits as well as the current Spirits we have become Broken through high powered effects and cheap summoning

But anyways that's my assessment

Actually, since it with Puppet Master can be summoned during your opp turn, and during the end phase you can activate Paradise's effect to stop her returning to the hand (so you can return her to your hand during your turn by other cards), i think 2 copies of her can create an infinite lockdown. I'll nerf her for sure. Thanks for the heads-up.

Hmm, I'll think of something else. But it'll still going to support generic spirits.

But anyways that's my assessment

Hmm thanks for the review. So i think the other cards are fine?
Sorry for the weird formatting.

i wonder if the last effect you really meant the spirit return to the hand kind of thing though otherwise the alternative is rather nonexistent. the first effect is Rangda's dream to be rid of from hand to the graveyard and that when the plays begin.

|Battle Maiden of the Heavenly Fantasy |0002|REOF|Spellcaster/Spirit/Effect|Light|4||1500|1500|SPIRIT: You can normal summon this card during your opponent’s battle phase. If you do, this card gains 500 ATK until the end phase. When this card is returned to the hand, add 1 “Fantasy” monster from your deck to your hand, then discard 1 card.
If this card is in your graveyard, once per turn you can banish 2 Spirit monsters to return this card to your hand.|

generally this help to lessen empty fields during the opponent's turn aside from Xyzing/Synchroing to gain field presence. this is good to go for even a pure Spirit deck. Once again another one of Rangda's Dream effect

|Starlight Melody of the Arcane Fantasy|0003|REOF|Spellcaster/Spirit/Effect|Light|4||1900|0|SPIRIT: When this card is summoned, send 1 Spell/trap card on the field to the graveyard. If this card is the only monster you control, during either player’s turn you can reveal the top 3 cards of your deck. For every “Fantasy” monster revealed, you gain an additional normal summon for this turn. When this card is discarded, draw 1 card, then discard 1 Spirit monster|

tbh it seem pretty Op'd being not only a beatstick but free popping upon its summon as well gaining 0-3 additional Normal Summon then the last effect is also even beneficial + Rangda's Dream. i would say those effects practically out balance the natural drawback of spirit monster. This card would singlehandly make my current Spirit Deck swarms as well getting a full hand too.

|Sacred Priestess of the Divine Fantasy|0004|REOF|Spellcaster/Spirit/Effect|Light|4||1000|2000|SPIRIT: When this card is summoned, return 1 monster on the field to its owner’s hand by revealing 1 “Fantasy” monster in your hand. When this card is returned to the hand, add 1 “Fantasy” Spirit monster from your graveyard to your hand.|

This one is good.

|Blossom Princess of the Eternal Fantasy|0005|REOF|Spellcaster/Spirit/Effect|Light|4||1500|1500|SPIRIT: When this card is normal summoned or discarded, each player must send 1 of their monsters to the graveyard. If this card is returned to the hand except by this card’s condition, until your next standby phase, cards cannot be moved from the graveyard.|

it should say effect not condition because it is still an effect. most likely this would combo with Soul Castle in order for its effect to happen when it returned to hand.

|Puppet Master of the Mechanical Fantasy|0006|REOF|Spellcaster/Spirit/Effect|Light|4||0|0|SPIRIT: When this card is summoned while you control no other monster, you can normal summon one “Fantasy” Spirit monster an additional time this turn. While this card is face-up on the field, you can normal summon a “Fantasy” monster from your graveyard by revealing 1 “Fantasy” Spirit monster. When this card is returned to the hand, you can discard 1 card. If you do, during your opponent’s next turn, you can normal summon a “Fantasy” monster during their battle phase.|

I like this card but it make sense to restrict to fantasy in those 3 effects. it would go for generic spirit if the last effect is by itself/with mild effect and then another monster with the first 2 effects.

|Epitomic Scientist of the Future Fantasy|0007|REOF|Spellcaster/Spirit/Effect|Light|4||1300|1700|SPIRIT: When this card is normal summoned, both players discard 1 card. When this card returns to the hand, you can banish 1 “Fantasy” monster in your hand. If you do, banish 1 level 4 or lower Spirit monster from your deck. Special summon them when this card is discarded, ignoring any summoning condition.|

i think the last effect should be "When this card is returned to the hand: You can banish 1 "Fantasy" monster in your hand; banish 1 Level 4 Spirit Monster from your Deck. When this card is discard: Target 2 of your banished Level 4 or lower Spirit monsters; Special Summon those targets, ignoring the Summoning Conditions." for simplicity

|Phantasmagoric Snow of the Natural Fantasy|0008|REOF|Spellcaster/Spirit/Effect|Light|4||900|900|SPIRIT: When this card is normal summoned, the turn player cannot flip any set cards face-up until the end phase. When this card is returned to the hand from the field, you can discard 1 card to have the next turn’s player skip their battle phase and main phase 2. You can only control one copies of this card, and you cannot summon this card afterthis card returns to the hand for 1 turn.|

This kinda feel like a turn skip, except it only grant the opponent ability to summons and set up plays. and you can just put this instead "Only 1 "Phantasmagoric Snow of the Natural fantasy" can be Summoned until the end of the opponent's next turn. "

|Scarlet Witch of the Fortunate Fantasy|0009|REOF|Spellcaster/Spirit/Effect|Light|4||1900|0|SPIRIT: When this card is normal summoned or discarded from your hand, you can reveal the top card of your deck. If it’s a level 4 or lower Spirit monster, special summon it, ignoring any summoning condition. When this card is returned to the hand from the field, increase your life points by 1200.|

dunno why it's 1200, 1000 is fine imo.

|Bamboo Princess of the Lunatic Fantasy|0010|REOF|Spellcaster/Spirit/Effect|Light|4||0|2300|SPIRIT: You can normal summon this card from the graveyard during either players turn by discarding 1 card (this is not counted for your normal summon limit). This effect of “Bamboo Princess of the Midnight Fantasy” can only be activated once per turn. When this card is discarded, you can draw 1 card.|

better wording for the first effect is. "During either player's turn, if this card is in the Graveyard: You can discard 1 card; Normal Summon this card as an additional Summon." and it does need that description in the brackets. also it is intended to have 0 ATK? if anything it kinda wasted to summon it through its effect during opponent's turn given it cannot be Normal Summoned in Defense.

|The Recreation of an Utopia|0011|REOF|Spell Card|Spell||||| Add 1 Field spell card with “Paradise” in its name from your graveyard or deck to your hand. If you control a face-up “Paradise of Recreated Dreams”, you can return 2 monsters you control to your hand to draw 2 cards.|

good thing this require that field spell for the draw effect to trigger. but at some point it can be combo with book of equilibrium for more draw power.

|Eight-Million Fantastic Spirits|0012|REOF|Spell Card|Spell||Continuous|||You can normal summon an additional Spirit monster per turn during both players turn by discarding 1 Spirit monster. Every time you normal summon a monster during your opponents turn, you can add 1 Spirit monster from your graveyard to the top or bottom of your deck, and then send 1 monster from your deck to the graveyard.|

this card is another reason to make my current deck go crazy given that even the second effect is quite a profit.

|Phantasmal Boundary of Fantasy and Reality|0013|REOF|Spellcaster/Synchro/Effect|Light|4||2500|2500|[Xyz, 3 level 4 Spirit monsters] you can Xyz summon this card during your opponent’s battle phase. When this card is Xyz summoned, you can discard any number of “Fantasy” Spirit monster from your hand to activate one of the following effects:*1 card: banish 1 monster on the field. *2 cards: banish 2 level 4 or lower “Fantasy” Spirit monster from your deck. Special summon them during your next main phase 1 ignoring any conditions. *3 cards: detach 3 Xyz materials. This turn, you can normal summon 2 additional time from your graveyard. *4 cards: detach 3 Xyz materials. Double this card’s ATK. If this card destroys a monster by battle, banish 2 Spirit monsters from your graveyard to draw 2 cards. When this card is returned to the Extra Deck, draw 2 cards.|

at first it did feel the costs of the effects looks heavy but with those cards as well as the existing cards it fulfill its effects. along with all hallow's, 2-3 Hermes and Soul castle/8million fantastic Spirit you can pull off summoning 2 of this card.

Still a rough draft. will be updated with fixes and overhauls. critics and suggestions are welcome.

Eight Million Fantastic Divine Spirits of Illusionary Fantasy Empty Re: Eight Million Fantastic Divine Spirits of Illusionary Fantasy

Post by EMSOUP Fri Dec 14, 2012 9:37 pm

humm, there's alot of things that I've overlooked, eh?
For Paradise, the last effect is intended to be flexible.

I'll nerf Starlight melody to 1700/0 and it need to reveal 2 Spirit monsters

hmm, i intended them to specifically not work that well with the current spirits, because of the fear of breaking an already solid decktype. But, tell me if there's several cards that would be fine if they were generic, or part of their effect is generic, and i'll change it.

as for bamboo, it is intended for her to have 0 ATK, for several reasons. it mainly used as a discard outlet and quick material for Phantasmal Boundary.

Others will be edited with your suggestions.

Hmm, I'll change Phantasmal boundary to 2300/2300 and completely generic. her final effect btw, is not the part of the 4th effect, and i'll edit it to return 2 Spirit monsters from your graveyard to your hand.

Anyway, from the current card pool, which ones do you think would be a good support to this archetype?

Thanks for your review.
