Kind of got the idea from Ichor Wellspring in MTG. Thoughts?

f'brokes. Cards like Airspace Infiltrator, My Body as a Shield, and Rune-Spotted Cheetah abuse this.

It would be the perfect counter against WIND decks...

Actually knowing that it doesn't do anything while being on the field, the opponent won't have any need to touch it and let it clog your space unless you make dangerous combo out of it to actually force the opponent to get rid of it otherwise, they just be attacking your f/d instead and of course you just place them face- down to fool your opponent to destroy/bounce them then draw a card.

It isn't really useful, unless you have a card that says "Your opponent cannot activate Spell or Trap cards while you control another Continuous Spell Card"

Does this update make it better and more reliable?

the previous one is better imo. because against wind, if they return this card to hand, that will benefit you and it promote a bit of mind game if you set more than 1 card.
