Glitch in Spirit Monsters?
So i was thinking and i'm pretty sure ive found a loop hole...
Lets take an already made spirit card for example:
Akuma
Attrib: Dark
Type: Fairy/Spirit/Effect
Level:4
Atk: 1600
Def: 1300
This card cannot be Special Summoned. This card returns to the owners hand during the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or Flipped face-up. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponents life points, you can remove from play up to 3 cards from either player's graveyard.
Now we all notice how it says "This card returns to the owners hand during the End Phase of the turn this card is Normal Summoned or Flipped face-up."
But! What if it were to lose its effect upon summon and have it return at the beginning of your next turn?
(new card Example)
Temporary Memory Loss
Quick-play Spell Card
Activate this card when a monster is summoned, negate its effect until the owners next standby phase.
Would that keep this card on the field? Since it would return on the end phase, but does not have its effect that tells it too, then when it returns it is already past its return phase and would not return.
Correct?

if a spirits monster's effect is negated, at all, it won't ever return to it's owners hand, its effect is negated permanently. see effect veiler vs a spirit monster - veiler negates until the end phase, but a spirit won't return to hand during the end phase, it's return effect is permanently forgotten.

I thought the Spirit's return effect was a "as soon as any End Phase hits and this is face-up, it's returned to the hand" kind of thing.
Because that was the ruling that allowed Spirit-monsters to sap an L&DD's attack down to nothing because the effect would re-occur until the opponent's turn officially began.

I believe that's because LaDD says "Negate the Activation of the effect" instead of just "the effect of the card is negated". If it's just "During the End Phase" then the effect could activate an infinite number of times.
Of course, LaDD is kind of an odd card anyways....
Re: Glitch in Spirit Monsters?
So odd that Konami had to write almost half a book to define it's poorly worded effect(s) in order to make it playable.
