Mostly nice, but I think you guys are underestimating Vanillas just a little....
@ Werelord - The first one is fine, but the second one - Normal Monsters don't need a mirror force.

Nice.
|Titanic Rebirth|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||Normal|||Select 1 Normal Monster in either players Graveyard. Special Summon the selected monster to your side of the field.|
*Points to top sentence* Support for them can be better but they don't deserve a Monster Reborn. VERY few themes deserve a monster reborn.
|Path of the Mainstay|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||Normal|||Special Summon 1 of your removed from play Normal Monsters to your side of the field in Defense Position.|
Alright.|Peridot of Immortality|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||Equip|||Equip to a Normal Monster you control. The equipped monster cannot be selected as a target of an opponent's Spell, Trap or Monster effect. When the equipped monster would be destroyed, destroy this card instead.|
Good. Would hate to go against this though

Same as above.

Cool name + effect
|Pyrite of Inevitability|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||Equip|||Equip to a Normal Monster you control. When the equipped monster battles with an Effect Monster, destroy the effect monster without applying damage calculation.|
A little worried about this one? Maybe just "attacked" by an effect monster? Or vice-versa?
|Precious Jewel Recovery|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Spell||Normal|||Pay 1000 Life Points. Add any number of Equip cards in your Graveyard with "Equip to a Normal Monster you control" in the card text to your hand.|
Whoa. Not sure about this one. Will need testing i guess.

Why is just it being a battle being bad anyway? You should explain this to me.

Basically because it puts too much stress on ST / Mon destruction, while rushing your opponent. Being able to swing and destroy a monster is fine, unless the opponent can't counter. or being able to stall with a not-destroyed-by-battle-ish effect is fine too, as long as you aren't picking off their monsters constantly at the same time.

Rushing your opponent is kind of an important strategy in this game, you know. It's part of the applying pressure thing, by using card effects to increase your own control over the field while taking control away from the opponent, while also distracting your opponent from their own strategy and make them deal with you rather than focus completely on getting out their best cards. While it's not absolute since all your opponent has to do is...not attack it,
That is 50% less options than a deck with nothing but Effect monsters.
When you think about it from back in the day, when games were "slower", it was because when you hit a monster with big DEF, and you didn't have enough ATK to kill it, you had to wait for a Spell or Trap card that could get rid of it or buff your monster's ATK to kill it. Most normal monsters can only do two things: attack or be put in defense position. That is the reason why I think the Pyrite isn't too bad for Normal Monster support. When it comes to archetype specific or built-in Battle Killers like Catastor I am usually less okay with it (although Catastor is a much needed card nowadays since a lot of cards like Grand Mole, Jujitsu master, Judgment Dragon and Dark Armed have a habit of clearing the field of situational defense and destruction).
Sure, everyone can always but 1 Giant beatstick in the perfect LCCG deck and equip this to it, but when you think about it, that giant beatstick won't be inflicting battle damage and will just be killing problem cards while avoiding searchers, man-eaters, sakuretsu monsters and gigantic monsters. Then again with additional removal to balance that, it could always be put in the absolute best deck anyway to ensure victory.
(Another reason why giant normal beatsticks seem overbearing is because of the fact that you can't Normal Summon in Defense Position so weaker monsters have to put up with getting the crap pounded out of them just to get their effects.)
Re: Normal Monster Supporte
Hmm, alright. We probably won't have Catastor But I suppose a card like that, like you said, would be ok for just normal monsters.
