Thought I have no clue how you're going to be able to use YVD with 3 different .set(s) unless sea can hack YVD again so they load .set files with different names.

Just for the record, the cards in the category of ''broken shits'' are clocking at around 575 cards last time I checked. It's pretty much consists of everyone's card. And thats the more obvious ones, the ones that have the potential to be broken should be more than that.

And yes, it would be hard to make non OP cards if they are expected to fare against the 500++ OP cards, and if we kill the OP cards now, hundreds of cards would be rendered useless. So the choice is basically whether to continue the ride of powercreep or jump down from the coaster before it went downhill.

Yes. Around 20% of the cards are blantantly abusable or too powerful, and there should be even more that got unnoticed. Even with set review, our sense of balance has been warped by the powercreep, so messes like Diagryph and Calling Beetle can still pass the reviewing phase.

Also, something to be noted. As of late, archetypes after archetypes comes and dominate the game, while creative decks got left out in the dust. Archetypes and pseudo archetypes promotes linearity in deckbuilding, and aside from 3/4 people here, most of us won't bother with making a creative deck. And creative decks rarely becomes a powerful force in the game, except the ones that abused really broken cards.

Reset'll give us a chance to try promoting creativity in deckbuilding by not repeating the previous mistake of making instant noodle decks.

gabileon might be ok
kyuubi imo makes synchro-ing too easy, especially with token generation
tarantula seems too stall-ish for a decent stat lv4
rilfsak also might be too stall-ish being a tuner as well is maybe too much atm
i'm not sure about vortex tbqh
thanatos is too strong even for a spirit

Well we can always edit those cards to make them balanced for the reset.
