Normal Destruction.
|Ghengana Firebolt|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Normal||None|||Pay 500 Life Points. Destroy 1 monster on the field.|

You pay 1/3 of Scrap Destructions cost for a slower monster destroyer. Can hit facedowns.

Tribute Removal.
|Depraved Extortion|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Normal||None|||Your opponent selects 1 monster on their side of the field and offers it as a Tribute.|

In exchange of a cost, the opponent chooses which monster dies.

Bounce Removal
|Twister of Rejection|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Quickplay||None|||Select 1 monster on the field and return it to the owner's hand.|

You get a monster out of the way for a turn, or throw a synchro/fusion back where it belongs. Ineffective against lower level monsters but great against Tributes, Nomis and Semi-Nomis.

Topdeck Removal
|Temporal Calamity|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Normal||None||Pay 1200 Life Points. Send 1 monster on the field to the top of it's owner's deck.|
You pay life points to return a monster to the top of the deck to get in the way of the draw.

Direct Grave Removal
|Assured Demise|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Normal||None|||Pay 1000 Life Points. Select 1 face-up monster on the field and send it to the Graveyard.|
Destruction negation cannot stop this card. Only affects face-up monsters, so it's less effective than Scrap Destruction.

Banishing Removal
|Endless Dissension|0|XXXX|Spell Card|Normal||None|||Remove from play 2 cards in your Graveyard. Select and remove from play 1 face-up monster on the field.|

Removes from play a monster on the opponent's side of the field at the cost of two cards in your graveyard. Must be face-up.

Ghengana Firebolt too much like Scrap Destruction. Another copy would defeat the purpose of generic removal.

Depraved Extortion will need "Activate only during your Main Phase 1".

Twister of Rejection is fine.

Temporal Calamity will need some more cost, in most cases, spinning is better than destroying.

Assured Demise is fine.

Endless Dissension is fine.

I like what you've done here. You've made a standard for other forms of monster removal, while still keeping Scrap Destruction and specific forms of monster removal to have use and value in decks (well, for all except 1)

YVD Coding Sidenote: The place where you put "None" is actually where you put "Continuous", "Quick-Play", etc. The place where You put "Continuous" , "Quick-Play", etc. just put "Spell".

"defeat the purpose of generic removal" does not compute to me now that I reread it. Please define what the purpose of generic removal is and how this card defeats it's purpose.

The purpose of generic removal (at least, removal that's so generic that the majority of decks would want to use it) is to provide a means of removal for decks that don't have enough. Scrap Destruction does that, @1 (or @2, which is being discussed) would give the oddball decks that little extra they need. This kind of removal is needed to exist in small numbers.

All of your other cards would be good in their own decks, but Ghengana Firebolt would be more destruction that most decks would run, limiting creative deckbuilding, and pushing out space for other cards. Non-Generic forms of removal would have to be better than this to compete, but it would be hard to get better than a 1 for 1 removal with only 500 pt cost without breaking it and going above our standard of balance.

Oh....that makes a lot more sense now. I am setting the standard too high for In-type/theme removal with the Ghengana Firebolt since, why would you run a Reptile-based Ghengana Firebolt if you could just use Ghengana Firebolt, right? So in order to outclass Ghengana Firebolt somehow, you would have to make the card better which borders on overpowered since there is almost nothing better than a simple LP Cost monster destroyer.
