Ban-List Discussion 1/9/2013
Okay, so I want to overhaul quite a bit here since some decks have been offered leniency for quite a while now. Some changes are required so here are some of the things I'd like to implement in the next ban-list:
Ruby Chameleon 3 to 0
Iris, Avatar of Rainbows 3 to 0
Cold Fusion 3 to 0
Fusion Redemption 3 to 0
Rainbow Tail 3 to 0
Salvation 3 to 0
Antennae Receiver 3 to 2
Wispwhale 3 to 2
Nox Exploiter 3 to 2
Solanum Hivemaggot 3 to 2
Emergency Broadcast 3 to 1
Malevolent Uprise 3 to 1
Kotei Umiryu/Declaration of Supremacy 3 to 1
Preparation of Fusion 3 to 1
Abyss of the Primordial Lifeform 3 to 1
Gateway of the Abyss 3 to 1
Phoenixian Sudden Bloom 3 to 1
Vermin Raiser 3 to 1
Golem Striker 3 to 1
Soul Spark Attack 3 to 1
Insane Pierrot 2 to 3
Support Recharge 2 to 3
Mezzo Chiptune 2 to 1
Mezzo Galen 1 to 3
Transcending Curse of Forced Slumber 0 to 1
So, maybe I've gone a little crazy, but I think generally everything here needed some attention. I might be missing some stuff, or people might disagree a little with some of the suggested changes. Input please.

go for Kotei Umiryu rather than Declaration of Supremacy.
SSA, we had a good run together. Whispwhale may be ok at 2

* Isn't The Last of Us pretty much the same as Soul Spark Attack?
* And is there a way to fix Ruby Chameleon, I hate seeing it go just cause it would cause other fusions to suffer.
Maybe like:
"You can treat this card's name as any name for a Fusion Summon..."
* Insane Pierrot was Semi-Limited by Werelord's Request.

Re: Ban-List Discussion 1/9/2013
the last of us requires you to only have 1 monster and only destroys monsters, it is vastly inferior to spark
ruby chameleons problem isn't fusion subbing. it's a rota for all fusion spells.
insane pierrot has not really done anything ever. it has yet to really prove it needs list attention

i think what broke icevale was salvation, it set up everything they ever wanted straight away. now, they have to work a little harder to put out the plays they want.
why would rituals be hit?

With all that lolnami did, I feel that we need to come with a big list of our own.
I pretty much agree with everything on this list.
EDIT: @EMSOUP: I feel that Lifeforce is good at 2 for the moment.

With a nerfed Communion most Ritual decks are kept in check, really.
Re: Ban-List Discussion 1/9/2013

Also a couple questions for you guys.
What are your thoughts on where Flash Serpent and Enchanting Circle should be on the list?

Re: Ban-List Discussion 1/9/2013
i think serpent is ok at 1. enchanting circle doesn't get a lot of use, but it doesn't seem like a card that should be unlimited

Re: Ban-List Discussion 1/9/2013
for kotei/declaration they could both easily go to 1. kotei is a stratos for all sea-serpents and might prohibit card makers from adding any further strong sea-serpents given that kotei gives them effective searchability.
declaration is a lockdown card, although with a steep cost but incredible stopping power that can shut down a large amount of decks, that can also be easily incorporated in decks and searched by pirates grotto.
so, i'm actually thinking both can go to 1 atm

Hmm? Not rejecting these changes, but can you explain about the reasoning.
Also fuck yes Lifeforce is limited. And mixed feelings about banned Witch.

Re: Ban-List Discussion 1/9/2013
It make 99% monster removal effect (semi-)useless. Sure you can knock it down with monsters stronger than her but she can always come back at ease. Even if she doesn't have a self-revival effect All Hallowed Icevale will take care of that. The negation effect is pretty broad in timing and the cost is just a bit of LP chipped off so really there a little effort in that but it doesn't stop there as it can shut down shit load of relevant cards. Lastly there 2 outs to Witch which are Non-targeting Field clogging effect and non-targeting Banish effect. Those kind of effects are situational as we only have Trading Places and none of the 2nd kind of effect in the ccg.EMSOUP wrote:Hmm? Re: Ban-List Discussion 1/9/2013
Icevale Witch is near-impossible to get rid of, along with the ability to stop all monsters from affecting her with targeting, and effect blocking.
it's becoming a non-optional in competitive games, and now that there's an Archetype around with her to make things worse. She was really helpful in the beginning when she first came out.
Now, she's a plague in competitive games, and becomes more of a "Icevale Witch + deck vs Icevale Witch + different deck" games. Deck builders have to keep her in mind so much that it's counter effective in creativity. It's devoting too much deck space to protecting themselves from one card, one that would fuck their entire deck up if they don't prepare for it. Even if you can banish Icevale Witch, there's 2 more to follow. While you're devoting clever resources to try and get rid of her, the deck behind her is building up it's advantage.
To think about it, thanks to this whole Icevale Archetype it turned a very powerful support card into an absolute nuisance. It's begging for us to start making Raigeki style cards to get rid of mass shielding cards like her. It was a good card, but now, like Transcending Curse cards she has climbed past the acceptable amount of utility and stretched into the forbidden style of power.

Re: Ban-List Discussion 1/9/2013
Well, this certainly would make several decks becomes relevant, while other becomes even more powerful. At least, Icevales can still do well without its original member.
Finally lifeforce is getting the status it deserved since it was made. It'll make decks revolving around destruction to be more viable.
