Singularity, It Revives a Huge Beater and Doesn't afraid of anything
- Introduction:
I - Introduction
Singularity from Deep Sea Assault is possibly one of the most unexpected Boss Monsters that has ever been released in the LCCG. Why I say "Boss Monster" to describe 'Singularity'? It carries the one of the most powerful Revival Effects in the LCCG, The Ability to Summon any One Monster from your Graveyard without any sort of drawback to the target, Once per Duel. The only catch? 'Singularity' is a Rank 1 Xyz Monster that requires 2 Level 1 monsters that are of the Same Attribute, but with Different Names (In the TCG, It means "No! You cannot Normal Summon Monster Reborn"), which is completely impossible for most decks to fulfill, Including most Meta Decks. In this Guide, I will teach you about the best methods of Summoning this Monster and methods to counter it when it hits the field...
- Summoning Singularity:
II - Summoning Singularity
Summoning 'Singularity' in a single turn is likely the hardest thing to do in the LCCG with an average Deck, and even Most decks that are designed to summon 'Singularity' have a lot of Difficulty doing so, and even if they do get 'Singularity' out, They can't use 'Singularity' in the best method possible, Using it's Free Revival to push for game by Summoning a Huge Monster. These are some of the best methods of Summoning 'Singularity'...
A - Flare Sprite
Ah yes, Flare Sprite, One very nasty bugger indeed, Most people tend to use her for her Powerful Second effect, Which if she's destroyed, She can Send another copy of herself from the Deck to the Grave to Special Summon a Level 4 or lower FIRE monster from the Deck with it's effect Negated (Which allows it to Search Wildfire Viper with ease for it's effect, and search out beaters and use them without Drawbacks), but Everyone overlooks her first effect, If a Monster is sent from the Hand to the Graveyard, She gets to Special Summon herself from your hand. in addition, It has all sorts of Support to get the other Material for 'Singularity' out, The best Materials being either Microvolcano, Which can be Searched in the Flare Sprite Engine, or Spark Magician, Which can also easily Special Summoned, but not as Searchable in Flare Sprite's Engine. In addition, Flare Sprite's Engine comes complete with it's own Beat-stick to use the effect of 'Singularity', End Flare, and often uses a lot of Fusion Summoning in addition to 'Singularity', often completely destroying an unprepared opponent for game.
This Engine is best in Mara Fusion or in Decks where FIRE Monsters and Pyro-type Monsters are prominent
Standard Flare Sprite Engine Skeleton: (WERE YOU EXPECTING A 20 CARD ENGINE OR SOMETHING!?)
3 Flare Sprite
3 Wildfire Viper
2 Microvolcano
1-2 End Flare
1-3 Flame Wheel
-
1 Singularity
B - Spirit of Spite
Spirit of Spite's effect is very Simple, Just by Summoning it, You get to Summon a Level 2 or lower Fiend-type Monster from your Graveyard, Simply enough, Combined with The only other Level 1 WIND Fiend-type Monster, it's summon is an Instant 'Singularity', however, It lacks a powerhouse for 'Singularity' to Revive, Which is compensated by the small size of the Engine, and it's Synergy with Wind Decks. This Engine is more Useful in the LCCG Gadget.dek or the WIND Tribute Summon Loop
Standard Spirit of Spite Engine Skeleton:
3 Spirit of Spite
2 Sterben, Haywire Doctor
-
1 Singularity
An important Note: Never run Singularity in 2s or 3s, as it's a waste of Extra Deck Space to do so
- Countering Singularity:
III - Countering Singularity
First off, In order to counter 'Singularity', It is best that you become prepared for any sort of counter beforehand, Singularity is Vulnerable to cards that Lock the Graveyard, like
Black Raven of the Grave, or cards that Banish Monsters, Like Battle in the Afterlife, and is usually not summoned with those cards in play. When your opponent Summons 'Singularity', Always assume they will push for game and use anything to Negate or otherwise Neutralize it, or if you REALLY want to be Evil, Use Twin Double Crossers or Alternative Hermeneutic Evocation to take control of their 'Singularity' and use it's effect during your next turn to push for game...
If you do not have a counter for the Summon, and You don't have some Effect Negation or Attack Blocking Traps, You've are now fighting a very steep uphill battle and you will likely lose within that turn or the Next turn...
If you have Survived that turn and your opponent still controls 'Singularity', Instead of focusing on Destroying 'Singularity', You should somehow try to take control of it to use it's effect and attempt to Push for game yourself or set up a defense to defend yourself from the attacks of Next turn...
Discuss the Guide and feel free to say any One-Turn Singularity Combos or Singularity Counters I may have Missed

so the point of all this is to summon a monster at a shitload of dedication and sub-optimal plays to use it and in most cases not even revive a decent card
stop saying things

Nope, I have discovered a few methods of Summoning Singularity easily and One method Doesn't even need a lot of Dedication to do (The Spirit of Spite Engine)...
And Subtly telling the player that the only good Singularity play is Reviving a Beatstick to push for game

Re: Singularity, It Revives a Huge Beater and Doesn't afraid of anything
it's a 5 card engine that would likely not work effectively within other decks as it isn't splashable. it would also require a way to dump sterben effectively and consistently while not hampering an overall deck theme.
also extra deck monsters aren't tech's anyway.
and if you're dedicating main deck space for it, it certainly isn't a tech and is probably more detrimental than anything.
