Unholy Blood v0.5 Empty Re: Unholy Blood v0.5

start by maxing the things that make your deck really run - centurion, oracle and summoner @3 really help to smooth your deck over and give you cards to work with midgame.

blood hound can set off your centurions and devourer/crawler - popping a 1 counter centurion gives you instant access to a devourer/crawler (centurion+oracle). blood hound can be at 3 because your bosses literally can't die from it, you're keeping 2 beaters on the field and filling your grave with summoners and oracles to either sustain pressure or revive your big guys.

you can also run dark chaser, as his effect will allow you to send 2 darks (oracle and level 4 unholy/ summoner and devourer) to the grave and let you summon crawler or devourer from your deck. if you go with oracle, his effect will activate to destroy your monster, but their self-protection effects will activate allowing you to send an unholy instead (go for summoner for the revival). you can run spell search to add chaser, it can also let you discard drawn summoner/oracles.

if you want a way to search for blood hound you can consider nimble hamster. it's effect will trigger when discarded, so makes your spell search neutral advantage and net you a blood hound and chaser. additionally it gives you synchro options, you can oracle a detector, search centurion summon hamster synch for 6 and grab a blood hound off hamsters effect. if you synchro hamster and chaser, you can get blood hound and chaser will put 2 banished darks back into your grave, likely enabling you to put down devourer and hound on your next turn to apply a lot of pressure to your opponent.

you can play keeper of the arsenal also, with enough strong traps it will survive long enough to get its effect into play - it can tribute hamster to search hound while summoning a chaser from your deck, setting up your hound/devourer drop, alternatively you can tribute a centurion with counters and begin getting unholy monsters into your graveyard. keeper is dark lv4, so makes fiendish queen an option also. if you use keeper, tribute centurion and summon flash serpent, then you get to also send a summoner or devourer based on your existing grave set-up to drop a self-sustaining devourer to deal damage with

................

your spells are best kept to strong staples, lifeforce shield/mortify/scrap destruction and in this case spell search. additionally i like to use extremely obvious spike trap, as it makes it easier to protect cards like keeper of the arsenal. being a cont. spell, if it is of no use to you a blood hound can happily kill it to stay alive.

soul spark attack really has to be played in this deck, you can spark away hamsters, dead summoner/oracles in order to enable plays. additionally dark chaser can be sparked and retrieve banished darks, centurion can set up your grave and devourer shrugs it off while feeding summoners to keep him alive

after filling out with strong traps, give some thought to mirror shot over hostile/acid spark - the discard synergizes with a number of cards:
- dead drawn devourer or crawer
- dead drawn summoner or oracle
- nimble hamster
all of which once discarded can be put to added use through the decks inbuilt toolboxing ability. in addition to sticking these cards in the grave, you do also get to negate spell and traps - negating a clutch lifeforce results in huge momentum swings. i like your idea of playing black map, it will get similar end results from the discard but also give further access to centurion, hound and chaser

do make sure to play lightning gatekeeper in your extra deck, if you successfully get its effect off, practically your entire deck is dark and it will allow you to put threatening plays out incredibly quickly.

hamster+hound give you access to heavenly beast andolus, which can recur hound to put out extended damage or hamster for discard fodder or additional keeper tributes. also further synchro abillity.

other ideas you can consider and test are:

flash monsters + deep chaos dragon
hell master anubis
savior soldier
the last of us

dark chaser is limited
lifeforce shield is semi-limited
soul spark attack will be limited in less than a week
unholy enforcers aren't necessary

that can give you up to 6 more cards to put in, can include extra hamster and spell search, effect disorientations, 1 gift from diabolus, savior soldier, transcending curses, twister of rejections

from a personal preference sort of viewpoint as well, i dislike playing both devourer and crawler - devourer brings a lot more to the table and playing more than one high level unholy naturally increases the chances of drawing one.
