Mind Melter
Mind Melter
Attrib: Water
Type: Psychic/Effect
Level:3
Atk: 900
Def: 1000
Increase this card?s ATK by 300 for each Psychic-type monster you control. When this card destroys a monster in battle, until the end of the turn, if you would take effect damage, gain life points equal to that amount instead.

Now the base ATK is 1500 and the effect works with some more cards.

Re: Mind Melter
I'm not entirely sure about the paying life points part. You could get away with some real shenanigans if this thing wins a battle.

Re: Mind Melter
same here. some effects can really be abused if you gain LP instead of paying it.

Re: Mind Melter
but then you'd have to play masochist
although, there really aren't many tricks that you can pull with lp gain decks since so much of what you can play is gimmicky and generally not very competitive. a small push in the right direction should be fine and to be honest i still think its underwhelming
