Fusion Materials Empty Fusion Materials

Post by Seattleite Wed Jan 02, 2013 7:54 pm

So, me and EMSOUP think the TCG is somewhat vague when it comes to what qualifies as a valid fusion material.

Prisma and Super Poly have the exact same wordings, but only the second can use materials for non-Specific Fusions. But I think for good reason, because if it wasn't that way, Prisma could mill anything.

So, maybe we should make some ground rules regarding all things Fusion-related.

* Things like Savior of the Lost Being become a tutor for everything if revealing an attribute-fusion, becoming very, very OP'd.

* While things like Fusion Redemption are useless UNLESS we count non-specific fusions.

This is a problem. I think we should develop some rulings and/or wordings to distinguish these two groups.

We could make them all work like Super Poly, then nerf cards like Savior of the Lost Being.

non-Specific Fusions are like "Fiend-type Monster + Fiend-type Monster" vs. "Nox Deciever + Nox Deciever", right?

When this card is flipped face-up, select one Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck, add one of its Fusion Materials from your Deck to your hand. During the End Phase of a turn this card did not attack, you can flip it to face-down defense position.

When this card is flipped face-up, select one Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck and add one Fusion Material monster whose name is listed on that card from your deck to your hand.
